«История болезни», инсталляция, книга художника

Проект «История болезни» – это в первую очередь книга – как по форме, в которой эта работа предлагается, так и по структуре, в которой визуальный нарратив переплетается с обрывками текста. В её центре – история ипохондрика, медленно умирающего то ли от мнимой, то ли от настоящей болезни, разрушающей его тело и разум. Но главная фигура повествования здесь – не несчастный больной или его таинственная инфекция, а бесконечная амбивалентность и невозможность определения границ реальности и вымысла, тела и разума, «вне» и «внутри», бытия и небытия.

Несмотря на то что работа над книгой велась больше года, в ней нет ни одного заранее спланированного постановочного кадра, задача состояла в реконтекстуализации именно «дневниковых» кадров, снятых в обычной жизни.

Medical History, installation, artist’s book

The Medical History project is primarily a book, both in terms of its form and its structure, in which the visual narrative is intertwined with text passages. The story is focused on a hypochondriac slowly dying from an imaginary or real disease destroying the character’s body and mind. However, the unhappy patient is not the main figure of the narrative as well as his mysterious infection. The main focus of the story is the infinite ambivalence and impossibility of defining the boundaries of reality and fiction, body and mind, ‘outside’ and ‘inside’, being and non-being.

Despite the fact that the author worked on the book for more than a year, there is no pre-planned staging frame. The task was to reconstruct the diary-like footage taken in normal life.
