Рассуждения французского философа-постструктуралиста, одного из ключевых представителей теории фотографии Ролана Барта о снимках своей матери побудили автора пересмотреть семейные альбомы и по-новому взглянуть на фотографии из семейного архива.

Проект «До меня» ‒ это форма диалога с тем человеком, которым являлась мама автора, еще не будучи мамой.

The reflections of Roland Barthes, French post-structuralist, philosopher, and one of the key representatives of the theory of photography, about his mother’s photographs prompted the author to re-examine the family albums and take a fresh look at the photos in the family archive.

The project titled Before Me is a form of dialogue with the person the author’s mother had been before she became a mother.
